Synth AutomapperPrivacy Policy
Effective: June 2026
This service was built privacy-first: no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics or tracking, and your uploaded audio is deleted automatically as soon as processing finishes. This page explains in detail what data is processed, why, and for how long.

2. Hosting and server logs
The service runs on our own server in a German data center. When you visit the site, the web server automatically records technical access data (IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser user agent, referrer) in server log files. We use these logs solely to operate the service securely, to diagnose faults and to defend against abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and stable operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log files are rotated and deleted automatically after a short period.
3. Uploaded audio and generated maps
- The audio file you upload is processed on this server for one purpose only: generating your beatmap. The source file is deleted automatically right after processing finishes.
- The generated map (the downloadable
.synthfile, which by design of the game format embeds your audio), the title/artist/mapper text you optionally enter, and a technical processing log are kept for a limited retention period (currently about 48 hours) and then deleted automatically. - Your map is reachable only via the random job link shown to you; there is no public listing.
Legal basis: performance of the service you request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
4. Abuse protection (rate limiting)
To keep the service available for everyone, we count uploads per IP address. For this purpose your IP address is stored for a maximum of 24 hours and the IP that started a job is stored with that job until the job is deleted (see retention above). IP addresses used for abuse may be blocked. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service against overload and abuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
5. Local storage in your browser
Your map history and your style presets are stored only in your own browser (localStorage) so the page can show them to you again. This data never reaches our server, and you can remove it at any time via the “clear” button or by clearing your browser data. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.
6. Encryption
All traffic between your browser and the server is TLS-encrypted (HTTPS).
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection regarding your personal data, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for us that is the Data Protection Authority of Lower Saxony (Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen). For any privacy request, contact info@tbitdesign.com. Note that due to the short retention periods described above, most data will already have been deleted automatically.
8. Changes
We may update this policy when the service changes. The current version is always available on this page.
